<![CDATA[AL-TAWHEED ORPHAN CHARITY - Blog]]>Thu, 19 Feb 2026 21:23:54 +0000Weebly<![CDATA[Give Hope This Ramadan with Al-Tawheed Orphan Charity]]>Thu, 19 Feb 2026 19:09:34 GMThttp://www.altawheedorphancharity.com/blog/give-hope-this-ramadan-with-al-tawheed-orphan-charityRamadan is a month of mercy.

It is the month when our hearts feel softer, when we slow down and reflect on our blessings, and when we remember that everything we have is a gift from Allah. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and generosity. It is a time when families gather for iftar, when homes are filled with warmth and gratitude.

But in Burao, many children begin and end this month without parents to turn to.

At Al-Tawheed Orphan Charity, we work with orphaned children in Burao who have already faced more hardship than most of us can imagine. For them, Ramadan is not simply about fasting. It is about survival. It is about whether there will be food to break their fast. It is about whether they will feel remembered.

The Reward of Caring for an Orphan

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” and he held his two fingers together.

There is something deeply powerful about that promise. To care for an orphan is not only to ease a child’s hardship. It is to draw closer to the Prophet ﷺ himself.

Ramadan multiplies rewards. Every act of charity carries greater weight. Every pound given sincerely can become a source of light on the Day we meet our Lord.

What Your Donation Does in Burao

Your support allows Al-Tawheed Orphan Charity to:

Provide nutritious meals for orphaned children throughout Ramadan
Ensure children have safe accommodation and daily care
Support access to education and school materials
Provide Eid clothing and gifts so children can celebrate with dignity

For many of our children, your donation is not just financial support. It is reassurance. It is the feeling that someone, somewhere, cares about them.

A simple iftar meal may cost little to us, but to a child who would otherwise go without, it is everything.

This Ramadan, Be Their Family

When you sit down to break your fast this Ramadan, imagine a child in Burao doing the same because of your generosity.

Imagine a child smiling on Eid morning, wearing new clothes, feeling seen and valued.

Imagine the quiet duʿa made for you by a child whose life you have touched.

This is the impact of your Sadaqah. This is the power of your Zakat.

Give Today

This Ramadan, do not let the orphans of Burao face this month alone. Your Zakat and Sadaqah can place food on a child’s plate, clothes on their back and hope in their heart. Even the smallest act of generosity can transform a life. Give today to Al-Tawheed Orphan Charity and be the reason a child smiles this Eid. May Allah accept your charity and make it a source of light for you in this life and the next.

]]><![CDATA[URGENT HELP NEEDED]]>Thu, 11 Jun 2020 13:05:46 GMThttp://www.altawheedorphancharity.com/blog/urgent-help-neededThe building in which we educate our orphans has been damaged by heavy rainfall. The roof is no longer functional and the ceilings are leaking. The leakage has also damaged the flooring. The building consists of a mosque and an educational centre.

We require your urgent help. Please help us so that we can repair the damage. Without this building, the orphans have nowhere to go! In addition to schooling, the building is where we register orphans and where we distribute your donations to them. It is the heart of our charity.

We have been informed that repairs of the building will cost £12,000. Please donate so that we can repair this vital building and continue to educate and support the needy orphans under our care. Thank you!
